Frequently asked questions

A few of the things people usually want to know before they book. If you can’t see your question here, email hello@songcierge.com.

What is Songcierge?

Songcierge is a bespoke songwriting service creating original songs from real stories. Each piece is written and produced from scratch in a professional home studio, tailored to the person and occasion you’re celebrating.

Do I need any musical knowledge?

No. You simply share the story, the person and how you want the song to feel. I handle the writing, composition and production for you.

How does the process work?

You tell me about the occasion and the person, I confirm availability, and once the creative commitment fee is paid I begin writing and producing your song. You receive a first full version, with the option for small revisions before the final master is delivered.

How long does it take?

Timeframes vary depending on the project and schedule. I’ll confirm an estimated delivery date when you book, and let you know if an expedited option is possible if you have a tight deadline.

How much does it cost?

A Special Occasion Song is £75 and a Wedding Song is £130. A £25 creative commitment fee is required to begin your song.

What is the creative commitment fee?

It’s a non-refundable fee that confirms your booking, secures your place in the writing schedule and covers the initial creative development of your song. Work starts once this fee is paid.

Can I ask for changes?

Yes. Each commission includes up to two small revisions, such as lyric tweaks or subtle musical adjustments. Full rewrites or completely new directions would be treated as a new commission.

Can I share the song online?

You’re welcome to share your song privately with friends and family, and on your personal social media, as long as it’s not used commercially without prior agreement.

What if I want to use the song commercially?

Commercial use (for a business, brand, campaign or similar) isn’t included in the standard pricing. If you’d like to do this, email to discuss licensing options.
