1. What you’re commissioning

You are commissioning a bespoke, original piece of music (the “Song”) created from the information you share with Songcierge.
Each Song is written and produced individually — no templates, no re-used melodies.

3. The process & timelines

Once you submit your story and complete payment, you’ll receive an email confirmation.
I will review your story and, if needed, send a couple of clarifying questions.
Typical delivery time is X–Y weeks from the point your story has been confirmed. (Timeframes may vary during busy periods – this will be clearly stated on the website.)
A short preview (e.g. a verse/chorus or excerpt) may be shared before final delivery, depending on the package chosen.

4. Revisions
Because each Song is handcrafted, revisions are offered within reason:

Your package includes one round of light revisions (e.g. adjusting a line, refining a word, small mix tweaks).
Structural changes, new verses, or a complete rewrite may incur an additional fee, which will be agreed with you in advance.

5. Usage & rights

You receive a personal, non-commercial licence to use and enjoy the Song: (See Licensing and Usage Rights Below)
- You can play it at home, at events, share it with friends and family, and post it on your personal social media.
Songcierge retains the copyright to the composition and recording unless a separate written agreement is made.
If you’d like to use the Song for a business, brand, film, podcast, advert or any commercial purpose, please contact Songcierge for a custom licensing quote.

6. Refunds & cancellations

Because this is a made-to-order, highly personalised service, refunds are generally not available once work has begun on your Song.
If you need to cancel before work has started, please contact Songcierge as soon as possible. A partial refund may be offered at Songcierge’s discretion, minus any admin/processing fees.
In the unlikely event that Songcierge is unable to complete your commission, you will receive a full refund.

7. Your story & privacy

The words, stories and photos you share are treated with care and respect.
Your story is used solely for the purpose of creating your Song and will not be publicly shared without your explicit permission.
If you do grant permission, Songcierge may share short, anonymised excerpts or audio clips as part of a portfolio or promotion.

8. Communication

Most communication takes place via email.
Please make sure you provide a valid email address and check your spam/junk folder in case updates land there.
If you don’t respond to questions for more than 30 days, the project may be considered complete as-is.

9. Acceptance of terms
By placing a commission with Songcierge, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.
